Tea Party With Jessica

Tea Party With Jessica

A Poem by Jessie

One day,
Jessica and I were having a tea party.

It's very odd she calls them
Tea parties,
When she doesn't like tea,
Only coffee.

So there we sat on the floor of her
Little room
With light shining from her windows,
And her collection of dolls
Sitting next to tea cups,
And even her pet raven
Was sipping water out of his tea cup.

Somewhere along our conversation
I turned to her and asked,
"Why does God do bad things to good people?"

To this she giggled and replied,
"The same reason you do"
And poured herself another cup of coffee.

. hahahaha ... profundity drips from your pen ... so does humour ... and this narrative is just beyond exquisite ... brilliant location ... brilliant unraveling ... a kind of caffeine therapy ...
