A Paradox and Some Patience

A Paradox and Some Patience

A Poem by Jessie

One  summer day,
Freud and Jung,
Sat together for tea,
Discussing their latest
Observation
Of Society.

They had both discovered
A truth that seemed
Forgotten by the masses,
And spoke of this discovery,
Staring at tea cups
Over their glasses.

"Those who understand
That there are others more
Understanding than they are,
Are wiser than those
Who  understand more--
Doesn't that seem bizarre?"

"Indeed, bizarre,
And I would think
That could be very true,
But only if those
Who understand more
Understand that they do."

There was silence as they both
Had pondered, what if
They were not wrong,
Because they both were curious
Of where in this pattern
They would each belong.
