Plato took me out of his cave,
Promising a world where shadows and light
Are one in the same,
Where physics and philosophy
Can dance and smile,
And then
He pushed me down a rabbit hole.
As I fell my eyes saw the secrets of the gods:
Numbers and letters
Mathematical equations
All of them waltzing together
Moving in and out
Changing, yet unchanged.
(It’s all Greek to me.)
Seeing existence
Without comprehension.
Acknowledge.
Observe.
Believe.
My eyes saw flowers
Blooming from mathematical equations,
Petals made of mirrored glass.
Light reflecting and refracting
Data
Information
Energy
Life
Color
Beauty
As if God had plucked His favorite parts of His world
And made a bouquet for me to see,
Shimmering with colors ever changing
Though the numbers stayed the same.
I fell down a well of binary code.
1010101
One, a unit,
A whole.
Zero,
A nothing,
A (black) hole.
Turn zero inside out
And you have the opposite!
Alpha, Omega,
First, Last, All.
One.
I saw two lovers looking each other in the eye.
He sees her universe,
She sees his universe,
And I see both of them,
Different yet the same.
1,2,3, a trinity,
Ones and zeros unto infinity,
Zero is one
And one is two
Three for me,
And four for you.
And then we come back to the beginning.
Start all over again,
And again.
Dark and light,
Shadow and bright,
Black holes and stars,
Dancing to the steps in time, as
God pulls the puppet strings of
Perception and reality,
Watching as things get
Bigger and
Bangy-er,
Theoretically.
When I reached the end,
I found the beginning.
The resolution is that evolution
In such a revolution can never find the solution,
Because yes and no are
The same.
Wake up.
Begin another day.
I’ll scratch your back if you
Scratch mine.
Let’s complete the circle,
And continue to dance until the end of time.
