The knight of stars
Born of venus Cool as the waves on earth Small like Pluto Passionate as the sun. Loved a man A paladin Forged by mars. The knight thought the paladin was her lover from long ago. Reborn for her to find and love unconditionally. Like Uranus and Neptune. But that was not the case It seldom is. That’s alright we adapt to fit our surroundings Like Saturn. We must in order to survive And I knew I had adapted because one day, I, the knight, stopped loving you and learned to love myself. My glassy eyes, solar soul, eclipsed heart and all. I knew I was done loving you, because I no longer sobbed beautiful crystals into my sky, and instead I laughed, so hard it felt like I stuffed asteroids in my cheeks. They ached and still do. But my heart does not, and for that I’m thankful. Like mercury is to be so close to the sun. Because if you had been my twin flame what a story it would’ve been. One written in tears and blood, fueled by rage jealousy and passion. Like the tale of Jupiter. None of it worth the turmoil others suffered for our selfishness. In all I want to thank you. It was a hard lesson I needed to learn But it was one I learned well. Trust yourself, be hopelessly romantic, and above all else, love yourself. As if you are the moon, the night sky, the sun, the planets and all the stars in this galaxy and the next. Love yourself enough to let go of the people who harm you most. Those who do not have your hearts best interest in mind. Andromeda. © 2020 Mistress of the moon |
