A dead dreamers dreams

A dead dreamers dreams

A Poem by MoonChildPoetry

What happens to a dead dreamers dreams?
They become absorbed by the soil, they nourish the trees,
and when the wind blows, get carried in the breeze.
You'll hear their faint whisper in shells on a sandy ocean shore,
and the birds in the woods will tell you what's in store.
Leave your window open on rainy nights while you sleep,
and the drops will linger to tell you the secrets that they keep.
They hide in more places than they would ever seem,
so when you feel inspired, honor a dead dreamers dream.

i love this. so deep and philosophical. kind of mysterious and free-flowing like a dream. especially like the nature references. straight-up great stuff ... :)

A sad poem. To have dreams killed-off. Little would be left. I liked the tone of the words. You led the reader to the proper closure. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
