am i

nothing much, this just came to me

A perfidious traitor am i

that i betrayed life again

ran away when needed most

stabbed its back like a pale ghost

A mutinous servant am i

that against life i rebelled

forsook its passionate funds

trashed its kind requests

A merciless enemy am i

that i charged life with lies

forgot its faithful advice

damaged the essential ego.

I like the format and construction of this, the way you started each new stanza and followed it through the lines flowing seamlessly into the next. The points and ways you choose each one to highlight is moving, thought-provoking, and honest.. It felt real and for that reason the intensity in which you were able to affect was strengthened.. as the other two reviewers pointed out before me, the flow was exquisite and phrasing captivating and stimulating.. This was intellectual, it was emotional, and I thoroughly enjoyed.. well done!.. makes me excited to read more.. :)

I love this one! The wording and flow are fanatic! It's a very strong poem and my only suggestion is to add comas at the natural pauses you take when you read it aloud
