SHE

SHE

A Poem by Moomal Ahmed
"

a person, namely a girl is sad and grieved. the poem describes her

"
Her tears shine like gleaming pearls
like melted ice on a frozen glacier
like beads of sweat on a rosy face.

Her expression is like a sad grimace
like the faded shadow of a happy face
like the reflection of a peculiar spirit

Her voice is like a low cello
like the faded voice of a weary traveler
like the low notes of a sad tune

Her words are like the flow of water
like the earnest urge of a sentimental poet
like various aspects of an irresistible force

why is her grief tremendously effective
why, suggested by her ponderous face,
are the colors of love addressed to me

I enjoyed reading this! I think it could use more punctuation for a few hard stops and direction for the reader. I like the similies that you used. The one thing I don't like as much is the word "creepy" it doesn't seem to fit very well into the poem.
