untitled 406(flashlight lovers)

A Poem by moo to the world

you turn on with a flick
                               (it seems so easy)
cause your afraid of the dark
it shows the way
and leads you on

you follow it home
but as your about to go in
the batteries die

your stranded again with dark eyes
how simply
the paths we know
get lost in shadows
and everything we knew
changes in the dark

its akin to your mothers voice
it floats awkwardly threw your life
and more you try to find it
   the quieter it gets

and when its silent and dark
     and your just falling out

         flashlight lovers
            will carry you home

or till the batteries burn out

'or till the batteries burn out' i love the sort of dark comedy about this line.
