Awakening

As a prince, I have a princely duty

to place my kiss on Sleeping Beauty

animate her with my fabled charms

enfold her in these faithful arms.

But as her stirring breast is borne away

from evil spells that I‘ve supplanted

I bend once more to softly say

'O don't awake too disenchanted'.

Nice and concise. Thank you. "Too disenchanted" caught my attention. That is to say, one will inevitably be disenchanted, the hope is that it is not too terrible.

Thank you Brad. It does seems there are pluses and minuses to being enchanted.
