Songs of the Children

If children are taught they are no more than animals

they act like it, straying from righteousness

and licking their fur.

Imagine such children chanting at God to get lost:

'Creator, You bug us.  Go jump in a lake'

or 'Infinite Spirit, please step without looking

on the teeth of a rake.'

O God of the clouds!  Or the precincts thereof!

We seek but a sign, Lord;  in the mouth of a dove

the fold of a wing

the touch of Your hand.  Then will bells ring

then songs of the children and the insults they fling

will be silent forever, to acknowledge you King.

Wow! What an incredible thought fleshed out in verse. It like Garbage In - Garbage Out and such. Pretty clever and outstandingly persuasive.
