dysphoria doesn’t
start in Peoria but in
more opulent places with grand, open spaces and the
finest emporia. How
swiftly this notion has swept through our nation though
it’s not cool to call it a social contagion No,
it’s forbidden to question the why or the how All we can do is make our kowtow to the
gods of a private, unseen identity who
cannot be doubted lest they lose their serenity. How
noble the struggle, how lofty the song of
those who tell Nature where She’s gone wrong But by
the same token, they cannot look askance when I
pronounce I’m a lost king of France Then I
too may order my subjects to speak
in a
manner befitting my self-made mystique. © 2024 Montag |
