Pull

Pull

A Poem by K. T. Wells

Pull at the heart strings of many a far,
So they will remember your work and name.
Go my child of light, tell them who you are.
I understand shyness so I don’t blame
You for acting this way towards fame.
Attending a new place is no repute?
Don’t fear them because they are all the same.
A lot may judge but you can’t, so be mute.
So close your eyes and wait a short minute.
Thoughts echo through the halls all around you.
There’s no one to help you in your pursuit.
So be silent. What else is there to do?
Your mind walks those old fields that you thus dwell.
Pull at those heart strings that you work so well.
