The World Is Full Of Broken People

The daycare teacher, the one who always wears pink and giggles much too often, her niece just died last Tuesday in a horrific car accident. Every day she comes home to her empty house, wraps herself in her niece's room, while drowning her sorrows with wine every night.

The World Is Full Of Broken People

Your fathers boss, with his perfectly tailored suit and buffed wing tip shoes, he has just caught his husband cheating... again. Yet every morning he comes in, sipping a cup of coffee in his left hand so every can see his wedding band, flashing his smile that has closed so many business deals.

The World Is Full Of Broken People

The quarterback of the football team, with his straight A's and all of his friends, his 8 year old sister is dying of brain cancer. Every evening he sits with her, telling her stories of what his lovable but idiotic friends did that day, while she asks what will happen when she dies. He sobs because she used when and not if because even she has accepted that she will not live through this. He kisses her head and says "We will remember."

The World Is Full Of Broken People

That includes yourself, the girl who gives change to the homeless and helps the local senior center every Saturday, all while struggling with need to kill yourself every night. At 2 a.m. when you slide the razor blade across your wrist, you wonder what would happen if you pushed just a bit harder. But you don't, instead you clean your wrists and sleep until the next day.

We rush through life blind to what others hide.. often or not because they need to hide behind, within, their sadness. Maybe that's done coz if they remove that wrapping, they might never recover their strange kind of armour.

Your writing is emotionally empathic, yet has its own sharp blade to remind folk that life aint that beautiful. Thank you for showing heart..
