I Am A Stone

I Am A Stone

A Poem by Just A Passion For Writing

I am a stone, long forgotten

Kicked aside, faceless yet unique

Hundreds like me but so different

I have seen thousands yet speak of none

And the rains pour upon me, without mercy

Chipping away, I strive to be myself

From me pebbles are splintered

I sink until I hit the bottom, dust rising around me

People pick me up, and drop me without hesitation

I hit solid ground, yet don’t break

Kicked aside, faceless yet unique

I am a stone, long forgotten
