No Return

No Return

A Poem by Noah Cole

There used to be a freedom
That I could always feel
There used to be a breeze
That would caress my skin
There used to be a swing
Where I could enjoy nature
There used to be home
Where I felt at peace
There used to be a room
Where I could go and hide
There used to be a journal
Where I could write down my thoughts
There used to be a guitar
That I could play for hours on end
There used to be a bed
That gave me comfort always
There used to be a family
Who loved and cherished me
There used to be a friend
Who I could tell anything to
There used to be a girl
Who I could be myself with
There used to be a life
That I never thought would end
But now there isn't
Now there is only nothing
And I can't forgive anyone
Not even myself

Ahh...
I'm assuming that this is personal- it will perk up?
Haha, I'm not about to give you a speech, but I do like the honest poem.
It's an easy read (not a light read ) to follow, which is nice once in a while.
