Eternal DamnationA Poem by Noah ColeThe inescapable, falling, swallowing, death-breeding, doom of eternity...There is doom in all things in the end, Only swifter death awaits those who wish to live,
But have you ever seen the sun as it is about to explode into the nether regions of our neverending universe?
I am locked in a capsule,
Watching as the world around me changes and I have no control,
I no longer see breath as life,
I only feel the cold, piercing pain as the winter wind invades my dying lungs,
Betrayal stabs me from below,
Leaving burning blood full of the fire of all my years of fury,
I can see the horizon drifting away as the raft I have built my life upon resists my commands,
The ground falls out before me and I have nothing to hold onto as the darkness awaits with hungering lips,
I have no one to hang onto,
As the guards pull me away into a dying crowd,
All of the people stare with haunted eyes,
Their lips sagging to consume their own fleshy bodies,
Corpses reach for me as they hunger for my fading, empty soul and I am pulled into nothingness,
And somehow, everything happens for a reason...
I see no purpose behind this pain, this deep hatred,
There is no method to this chaos of horrid, twisting damnation,
When does it stop?
