The Smell of FlowersA Poem by Noah ColeAn intoxicating bouquet...Cleave your mind in two, Give me your red shoe, Let your pencil be your master, Maybe then you'll write faster, Run until the end of days, Run right into that purple haze, There is no love, Sweet pink canaries and cannabis, An intoxicating bouquet, Arrive in time to catch the late show, But tonight there's no way. Let the world spin, Remove your recycling bin, You can bend or you can break, Or your life could be fake, Erase away your memories, Run around breaking knees, There is no life, Smell the flowers in the air, An intoxicating bouquet, I can't remember a thing, But tonight there's no way. Kill with words of your own, Blind them down to the bone, Only use your weapon of choice, Just don't make a single voice, I'll just say farewell to you, And a gentle, silent adieu. There is no luck, Picking locks and piercing eyes, An intoxicating bouquet, You know exactly what to do, But tonight there's no way. © 2012 Noah ColeAuthor's Note
