heartless

heartless

A Poem by Monkeybananers

I dropped my heart somewhere in the past.
No retraced steps or time machine will get it back,
but I'm not so certain I care.
A heart carries a lot of problems with it,
and I'd rather live without the stress than die from it some day.
So maybe I'm heartless, but I'm pain free and careless
and I won't be breaking soon.
Or maybe I'm confused and I got it all twisted
cause something echos in my chest when I move.
Maybe my hearts just in pieces.
maybe i'm heartless.

This is great advice :) I've been feeling this way lately, and honestly, it's so great to just let go and live in the moment. It's a lot easier, and results in a lot less tense muscles and headaches.
You represented it perfectly!
