I wait

I wait

A Poem by Monkeybananers

I wait.

I wait by the window and watch the day pass.

From day to night and day again it fades bringing

Me one moment closer to the future, until then, I wait.

I wait.

I wait for the moments that have yet to come,

The torment that has yet to beat against my fleshy soul and

The happiness that will come to purge it away. It’s not here yet,

But until it is, I wait.

cleverly expressed and complete...love the personification of "fleshy soul" it gives the piece magic.
