A Chapter by Becca

 Monday!

The next morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I forgot to set my alarm clock to the right time! I put my watch on and look at the time. “8 o’clock!” I say, “Rats, I’m going to be late! And on my first day! And at a new school! Uhhh!!!” I throw on my new uniform, run down the stairs and grab some toast. Then I say goodbye to Mum and Dad, and find myself just in time to catch the bus. As I walk on, I feel lonely because I know Kat and Cleo are going to different schools. I don’t even have posh Jessica Halva, Catlin Bettina and Whitney Podsol, anymore. Suddenly I hear “Hannah!” I look up and Cleo’s there! I rush over and sit beside her. We get to take the same bus! Her stop is one after mine so when we get to mine we wish each other luck for our first day and I hop off. 8:15 I read on my watch, “Just enough time” I think. Everyone has assembled in the front hall. We get put into our classes. There seems some nice enough people here! Maybe I’ll finally make a friend!

Soon it was recess. I sit with Eliza Salmon. Then it hit me “My lunch!” I say to Eliza “I forgot it!” “Chill” said Eliza “Here!” Eliza gives me $5 for the canteen. “Thank you!” I say as I run off to get a sandwich and some lollies. When I come back we eat our sandwiches and then share the lollies. Soon recess was over and then after that school.

I take the bus straight to the pool. Cleo is on the same bus again and is keen to show me her latest “thing”. She shows me it and we laugh and giggle the whole way to the pool. Kat is there waiting excitingly and as Cleo and I get out of the bus, we all discuss first day of school. We agree that we will keep our friends to ourselves and not get to personal with them. After all, us friends stick together and stay together!

Soon we start our lesson and Kevin is back to his old self. He pushes us way over the limit!

Finally training’s over! Cleo and I say goodbye to Kat and flop onto the bus. We talk about Kevin and how he pushes us really hard and then we just laugh and agree that that’s his job!

I get home to find Mum waiting at the door. She questions me like crazy! But I don’t care. Right now my life is PERFECT. And it couldn’t be any other way.
