The Bond

Ink glides passionately onto this lonely white paper,

Words form expressions from my beating heart.

Expressions of love, dreams, hatred, and depression,

My unforgettable feelings for you run boundlessly.

     Night and Day.

No matter how I try to describe what my heart screams,

Or how many times I say, ‘I Love You’.

I yearn to tell you even more, so much more.

The elation of meeting in our bed after a long day,

Or the heartache felt after a senseless, terrible argument.

Nights lying in bed, I wonder what my life would be without you.

My soul knows I would miss something wonderful; be incomplete.

Heartache and joy will overwhelm our lives,

Our joys will travel with us with each passing year.

Excitement of carrying your child in my womb,

Or watching their grandparents smiled in glee.

Walking through life together is the moments cherished most .

That bond we created that fateful night will connect us through eternity.
