A reprieve
All torment and anguish Diminished; vanished Gone away with a thank you Baffled and unaware Questioning the reality Elated but fearful How can this be in my presence? Watching in the past Completely ignorant Shrouded in the bliss of it Until I saw something tangible A familiar soul Oh, but so much more Replaced the dread in my chest With unbelievable joy I would have, Could have never fathomed This was a possibility And yet, here we are
