Love's GuardianA Poem by Monica Carr InnovationTo love an Angel..
Thou rest gently on my lids;
A love awakend and to keep Thin love, tender and unspent To warm me as I sleep How like the moon come forth To her stars, a love divine Between two hearts that love so infinitely, Stretched out over the whole of time No fear in our love, Thine soft kisses full of taste, Keeping me securely; An Angel's wings in sweet embrace I fill thee above the brim with love, Drinking what spills over and forever keep A nourishment so enlightening; A feeding flame and preserving sweet I muse on thine face Thou on mine, and love appears Thine feathers brush lovingly And wash away my fears In the absence of everything Thou shall forever remain the one My nights that crave thine heaven And pay no worship to the sun And on our final night When that last hour will come, We shall rest in our still beds, Our souls forever one 8-12-10 © 2011 Monica Carr InnovationAuthor's Note
