We Remain

Resting in the hollow of the years

reveling in the surety of us 

leaning back against you

contemplating in silence

comfortable hearts together

We remain 

Through hard scrabble hope

illuminated by bursts of joy

through stormy or shining days

growing wiser with the years

we share this treasured land.

We remain

Always and always… together

hand in hand through the years

united in love’s embrace

soul to soul only for each other

this is the miracle of us

A beautiful romantic love poem....together always... we remain..it's so pleasant to read about couples through the many years of being ONE get along so well... notwithstanding a few quips...
I like the repetition of always, and "we remain" after each stanza... just gives it a little more oomph!
