Only Love Turns Dross to Gold

Only Love Turns Dross to Gold

A Poem by MomzillaNC

Cold winter heart of greed
Heart frozen in hate bears seed
Its cruel dross bears no-thing…
Took all, left no song to sing.

When all is said and done
evil’s had its final run
rapine… roughshod… squandered
Life and care unmoored, plundered

Love comes gently… softly

Embers of hope flare sweetly
From darkness roaring hope
Shining love of divine scope

When all is said and done
What remains will never shun
Love cares, will grieve and hold
Only love turns dross to gold

A finely penned poem. Final two lines say it all. Well done.
