About Diana, Princess of Wales

About Diana, Princess of Wales

A Poem by MomzillaNC
"

I found this old poem, scribbled down in an old journal at the time of her death. It's in my published book of poetry, but I'd never shared it here before now.

"

God gave the world a gift…

We ill-used her and He took her back.

She was light to cast dark into shadow,

Transcending even the twilight of Everylife.

Her personal shadows could not dim her light,

But cast her heart into high relief.

Diana’s light cast into all our hearts.

It took our hunger to cast her light into dark.

Our darkness at last consumed her.

God gave the world a gift…

We ill-used her and He took her back…

And the world is a dimmer place…

I know I didn't live there...see her that much except in the news...but was so sad when she died...so much class...she and Jackie O.....
but even the memories of her grace and caring still light our darkness.
beautiful tribute, MomZ...

Thank you, Jacob. I felt that way when she passed. It was what inspired the poem.
