Chinese Buffet – Meh!

Something for just a bit of fun

While I truly love Chinese food,
And agree it's filled with all that’s good,

I’d have to disagree on buffet appeal.
I’ve never cared for a buffet meal.

We all know, if we consider well…
The buffet line is really oversell.

The best fare is never on the bar…
Left you to serve yourself subpar…

Inspires you to gut-busting excess…
Rainin’ ‘pon the owner fiscal success…

Payin’ more for the buffet venue…
Than a la carte from the menu.

You said it very well. Buffets of any kind are like a crap shoot. You don't know how long it has been there or who might have touched the food. Plus it promotes gluttony.

Thanks. Yeah, it’s never the best stuff on the buffet either. The good stuff is off the á la carte menu. I often think the buffet is the dumping ground for the stuff that doesn’t sell otherwise.

In China, Chinese food is just called food… but, what do they call “American Food” in China?
