Yes. I Used wild flower seed on my front this year and I've never seen so many Bumble Bees.

Cool! We moved into this house last October. All around my front porch, all summer long, it’s been song birds and bumble bees! I love it!

We need more like minded folks to sow the right seeds to attract and feed the insects and butterflies.
Only saw 2 Red Admiral Butterflies this year. Last year the garden was awash with Cabbage white Butterflies, this year I think I've seen maybe half a dozen.

I haven’t seen a Monarch in years. Seeing butterflies around her when I was a kid was commonplace. I remember running through a field of wildflowers as a kid and being surrounded in a momentary cloud of butterflies. Now, seeing a butterfly is a rarity of near miraculous proportions!

Momzilla could I suggest you get a small shrub from the garden centre called a buddleia (cost about £5).
It's a guaranteed magnet for butterflies. It's common name is "the butterfly bush".
I live in a heavily built up area but one Summer's day I counted 10 butterflies on a buddleia in my yard!! Admirals and cabbage whites all opening and closing the wings as they fed. It was magical.

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem, though, is that the Monarchs are being poisoned by pesticides. I do intend to plant some bumble bee and butterfly attracting plants in my yard this year. I’ll look into the Buddleia too. Thanks.
