My forever Valentine

Fidelity and loyalty are my pledge

One heart of love laid bare for you

Reverently made an altar to Love

Endowed with sanctity by your devotion

Veracity writ in your every glance

Enduring loyalty and sustaining love

Reverently offered in your gentle touch

Valentine’s Day and every day

Are ours ever and forevermore

Love plucked down from the stars

Entwining our two hearts in one

Nestling here in our embrace

Testifying God’s great gift to us

In gentle, softly whispered kisses

Nature blessed our noble hearts to

Encircle our souls united across all time

what a challenging acrostic!! Valentines sentiments for all time!! the things you have written into your poem are what it takes to stay ... each time one makes that decision .. we deepen and lengthen our lives says i!
just a thought .. how about reverberating in place of one of the "reverently" s ... and did you mean two heats or two hearts? ...
nothing takes away from the impact of the expressed love in your poem .. it has got me thinking more about what to gift to my own Valentine .. i have been struggling

I can only say I've written this from my own experience in my relationship with my husband. If you begin your write from your experiences of joy and devotion with your Valentine, it cannot help but speak to them in the most meaningful way possible.

Thanks. The details were a bit fiddly, but not difficult. Fitting the acrostic style and still penning a smooth flow was the difficult part -- acrostic really gives the brain a workout!
