Dogma

Dogma

A Poem by MomzillaNC
"

Dogma always excludes

"

The dogma of the agenda of politicalism

The dogma of religion-ism

The dogma of condescending intellectualism

The dogma of ecologicalism

The dogma of capitalism

The dogma of socialism

The dogma of communism

The dogma of democratizationism

The dogma of conservatism

The dogma of liberalism

The dogma of anarchism

The dogma of corporationism

The dogma of radicalism

The dogma of fundamentalism

The dogma of imperialism

The dogma of sectarianism

The dogma of tribalism

The dogma of judgmental-ism

Dogma is always right…

to exclusion of all the other -isms.

Only one dogma can ever be right…

making all the rest wrong.

Those -isms men lay down your lives for…

dying and killing and hating…

Dogma is the big stick at the gate where

the guard dogma always excludes.

Dogma… dogma… dogma… dogma… dogma

Dogma… dogma… dogma… dogma

Dogma… dogma… dogma

Dogma… dogma

Dogma…

Dog with a bone!

Dogma, made me think. Steve Jobs, was quoted somewhere? recently, and said if we don't follow our dreams, we are fools. Referred to Dogma in the quote. You made it very simple. It may not be your style, but you made me think. Isn't that important? Thank you.

I absolutely love this piece. Not 100 percent sure about the font and background, but I think it seems to work. About the content, I couldn't agree more.

Just came around this! The presentation of this writing is what accentuates the intention behind it, but let's not be fooled. See by definition Dogma does not have a negative connotation so I am sure that is a given side... As if the word here was implied by having a negative connotation is it that way? For example the dogma found on Buddhism if you are a Zen practitioner then found in the Bhoddiharma or through the concept of Dharma are so much intrinsical parts of the Dogma, but funnily enough it does not make them into any of the descriptions aforementioned. Somehow I think the poor word has been pushed into a corner and suppressed into that which is devoid of thinking. I think so as it is not explained. The irony of it all is that I think most dictionaries would agree that the word means to have an opinion which makes the writing have a sense of humour as none of the expressions seem willing to embrace opinions. But then again if the Law wasn't dogmatic, fancy telling the Police when he stops you going at 75 mph : I am so sorry today I don't feel like paying this ticket.

Maybe after that silly comment, we may agree that we have driven knowledge to a dogmatic state becuase we can't think anymore.

Great intensity here

Thankyou

Too true Zilla. I think this is what most people mean when they say they want to be spiritual and not religious, or socially conscious without being an activist...?
Yes, there is a time to exclude ideologies, but usually, inclusion of concepts benefits all concerned.
Well said.

Dogma is a powerful thing. It takes all the thinking out of the equation and allows the dogma to do the thinking for you. I know had I been born in a different place or time I would have found myself in a gulag, a reeducation camp or under the thumb of the Inquisition.

Dogma is always right…
to exclusion of all the other -isms.

The only time in school I was reprimanded was in second grade parochial school we were learning about dogma. I made the fatal mistake of raising my hand and asking, "How do you know?" That was a lesson that stayed with me for a lifetime.

Sadly, Momzilla, I have, already experienced the painful sword that dogma can have, on a relationship, with my family and a former friend.

Thank you. It was rather a departure for me… an experiment of sorts.
There is no dogma worth dying for. Only for the love of friends and family can we justify giving the last great measure of devotion.

Absolutely… if only the adherents of whatever dogma understood that.
