This was inspired by my commentary exchange on a review of someone's poetry today, 05 September 2014.

The beauty in words…

Even through darkness…

Dark words seek… find light…

To carry light out of darkness.

Words to hurt

Words to heal

Words destroy

Words create

In the space between…

In the mind’s eye…

Wrenched from the void…

Forming reality of words…

Words to hurt

Words to heal

Words destroy

Words create

On flight of words…

On the precarious summit…

On the razor’s edge…

That’s where poetry is born.

i really like the way you worded this.

reminds me of something emily dickinson said.."words have the power to kill and have the power to heal"

and that is exactly where poetry is born, "the razor's edge"

words can pull us out of depression...i am so thankful i had my poetry to get me through many really tough times...the muse really saved me, pretty often.

The spoken word can be eloquent, but forgettable - the written can be simple ,yet permanent.
