Hates Me

This is another very old poem of mine, from my latter teen years. I think I was about 18 or so.

In the darkness, alone, I sit trembling

Lost in fear, unloved, unwanted

I’m in her way, we’re in her way

She hates me, hates me, hates me

I know I’m worthless

What use can I be, I’m nothing

Misbegotten b*****d reminder

She hates, hates me, hates me

Undeserving, rotten kid

Always wrong, never good enough

A pain and disappointment

I hate me, hate me, hate me

Momzilla, I want to take your younger self, and hug her, until she feels the love, which exists, outside of the toxic relationship, you had your mom. I know, how it feels, to be trapped, in this negative space, as a child growing up. Only wish, no other child must experience the pain we did, growing up.

TY. This is an old piece of writing, thankfully from those bad old days where my heart no longer dwells.

Yes, but the message that other people can learn, even though you say thankfully, you somehow still managed to keep that part of you that teaches; tells other people, how hurtful words can be; and to a child, if nobody tells them otherwise, they seem to believe the worse.
