HideA Poem by the penumbraWe all have secrets, right?
You hide the purple under your eyes
You hide your shaking fingers You hide the fact that after each meal you run to the bath room to throw it all up You hide beneath your jacket for warmth, Though it's 90 degrees outside. Your ashamed of your yellow-white skin full of scars Eating hurts you more than not eating You hide your slumberless nights through coffee and energy drinks You hide your once-and-a-while cigarettes You hide all your fears with smiles. You close your eyes, Forget the pain You hide the fact that your scared of your boyfriend You hide the fact that your scared of everyone You hide the fact that your jacket somehow is now 3 sizes too big. You don't want to go home, Your scared of that place It's constantly cold You hide that your falling apart You hide that sometimes when you open your eyes you forget who you are. I hide. I hide all these things. I hide. She will always hide... © 2011 the penumbraAuthor's Note
