devour

devour

A Poem by the penumbra

She was just
                   so
   very much her,
That it made me wonder      just how much
                    I was really me.
She had the universe stashed around her waist
and the moon - in all its beauty- encased in her hands,
   She controlled the tides,
While
I prayed her soul to keep.
Time    after    time,
Her mouth,
                golden with stardust,
swallowed my fears...
                        and devoured my heart.
