you were, you are

you were, you are

A Poem by Momo Shikiro
"

what i've realized

"

You were the girl who is loud but quiet
You are the person who is lost, don’t deny it
You were the one who stole my heart
You are the thing that tore me apart
You were the one who I loved blindly
You are the person who held me tightly
You were the girl I couldn’t love more
You are the person I would die for
You were the one who invaded my dreams
You are the thing that’s never as it seems
You were the one who controlled me at will
You are the person  who’s heart I couldn’t fill
You were the person who left me to rot
You are not the person I thought.

I really enjoyed this one. Love, sadly, is not always returned. Sometimes someone seems to be something they really aren't, and sometimes you don't find out until its much too late. This poem is really great, I like the flow and the rythm.

For some reason, I really like this poem.

But just so you know, the last word is 'thought' not 'though'.
