Sorrow at the Tap

Sorrow at the Tap

A Poem by RFDIII

Tonight I will close my eyes
And tomorrow they will open.

It breaks my heart.

When it seems I’ve dried up
A new drill is propped up, stabbing into my core
to bring water to surface.
Pain to light.

I could cry for one-thousand years.
Sometimes it seems that I will.
My head is an automaton of dust & dreams.
My emotions fair even worse.

Tonight I will close my eyes
And tomorrow they will open.

Yet still  it breaks my heart.
