Dear NanaA Poem by RFDIII
Dear Nana,
I’m sorry I’m not there for you, my life took a different road, Not for lack of caring, but in searching for what I’ve owed. I want you to know I love you, Nana, and have since bitter start. I can’t pronounce the words clearly, but I write you from the heart. I don’t want you to leave so soon; Many things, I’ve left unkept. I wish I could have taken care; to carry you through the steps. Never intending to pass the time, the world just moved too fast; Yet here we stand, granules of sand, piled within the glass. Never fret, I love you Nana. And always, I’ll have you know; Within me, your memories, will never - Never go. Your Loving Grandson, Richard Francis Delisle III (P.S.) Ends are new beginnings. Wherever you lie, do not fear - We return from whence we came; A place that you have been before, a space we’ll always keep. Entering the Dreamer’s Void, let go, there is calm in endless sleep. I love you Nana. © 2012 RFDIIIAuthor's Note
