Deist's Prayer to the Night
A Poem by RFDIII
Celestial lover, Bonjour à la lune, please bless me with numinous grace. So that I may travel, through underbrush raveled, conveyed among lunar embrace. This light is not yours which you spirit away; swiped from your consort, the sun. I welcome your thieving, vigilantly deceiving, La lune let me get this night done.

I'm not an overtly religious man, but I do think prayers are fascinating. They are as if but pleading poems.
Please enjoy!

I really like this one. It's short and simple, so I'm not going to beat it to death in my usual fashion. I just think it sounds good, and it has some great internal rhyming, and it has a very clear tone and mood and a personal, pleading feeling to it. Well done.
