Find Me

Find Me

A Poem by RFDIII
"

They say hope dies last.

"

If you find me I'll try not to bite you.
If you find me I will not forget.
If you find me I won't be sorry.
If you find me you won't feel regret.

This silence, you know, is no punishment.
Though I wonder for you if it's bliss.
With nobody now to hear my words,
no poison departs from these lips.
I hope you can live on happy
with someone who loves you right.
But if you find me I will try harder,
though it will be harder to find me in night.

So,
I know you really won't find this,
too busy to bother to look.
I know I was no precious stone,
and I didn't fit well in your nook.
Though to see your eyes align with mine,
the heavens above move stars for I...

So I hope you will live on happy
With someone that cares for you right
But if you found me I would be softer,
if only to hold you in night.

Photos brought me here and read took me in. I like the polite offer. I cold feel the longing and need in the words. I like the ending. Gave the story balance and reason. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

honest, real, full of emotion.. this one is definitely affecting in all the right ways.. makes you sympathize with the speaker and hope for those soft nights and bright stars... there are those who take the time to "look"... and sometimes.. they see more than what we see.. the hard part is believing them when they see it and having the faith to trust... well done..

Second chances are always hard to come by, if we could back and make it all right, but alas that is not life...your graphic was disturbing, not what I was expecting from your bittersweet words, was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed the read.

This is a fabulous poem RFD.
It's so heartfelt, so real, so... so... much emotion.
But why will the speaker of the poem not try. He seems resigned to just remain the shadows.
I love this. It's going in my faves. Beautifully written, full of love.
