ExhumeA Poem by RFDIIIA macabre tale of what may lay in wait for those who dare pilfer a grave.Cobble steps face sloping down the enclave of a grave. Every step portending death; Dormant until refrained. Something shimmers, catching light, reflecting all once lost. To tarry long within it’s sight is far too great a cost. Begin descent. Burn your flame. See all is to see. Bloodied walls and earthen halls and something still agleam. Near bottom lays a crooked mouth soaked in damp perspiration. Mist creeps out, whispers a shout - a curse upon all nations. Do dare step in and find yourself the source of all this shimmer? You may just find forgotten wealth… or just stepped in for dinner. © 2012 RFDIIIReviews
