Restless Dove

Restless Dove

A Poem by RFDIII

Restless dove,
Mourning dove,
Must you coo at dawn?

Do you stir beneath young sun
to broach your solemn song?

Be it cool, and be it sweet,
I hope you only know;
that somber song of which you sing?

A calm contrarance to the crow's.

Soft and innocent, I think you convey perfectly the picture of a dove singing. Actually contrarance sounds like "contraire" a french word that mean the contrary of. And it fits perfectly in the poem!
