Glory Days

Glory Days

A Poem by Molly

Blood was my dearest friend

and lighters were my lover

We would celebrate the days

conversing with one another.

Chased our glory days

and hoped to catch a glimpse

of the world we once knew

and the feelings we once felt

We never truly made it,

but we always said we did.

Through emptiness and self destruction

we became closer

a bond never to be broken

a dependency we would grow to regret.
