On Beauty

On Beauty

A Poem by Molly Cara

There are those so like the chameleon

Who would camouflage themselves

In the face of beauty

So as to appreciate without

Being known.

When I see beauty I call it out

So that beauty should grow

With the knowledge of its beauty

Till beauty becomes second nature;

It is then that I forget myself in beauty

And so become like the chameleon.

i loved this poem, this is beauty that grows because it is appreciated written with a wonderful extended metaphor. i love the ideas you express in your poetry and the way you develop the themes of the poems, i'm always left with something to think about. fantastic.
