Old Friend

Old Friend

A Poem by Molly Cara

Which of us would know
If the stars traded places?
Old friend, I strive to arrive
At a place where your
Light and mine
Are indistinguishable
At least to me
Because that’s all
I know of empathy,
That and
That I’ll never reach peace
If I’m racing you there.

An awesome idea and title.
The arabs were right when they said "little is sweet". its a short poem but beautiful.

how wonderfully romantic!

Because that’s all
I know of empathy

it seems you understand well the nature of things. :)

I like this. I says to me that it's better to aim for the goal of synthesis rather than the friction of the race itself. Nice!
