Outside logic

Outside logic

A Poem by Molly
"

He said, “Logic’s my anchor, it keeps me safe, within these walls where I belong.” I saw a flicker in his eyes— a spark that questioned if he was right or wrong. “Logic can guide, but don’t you feel.

"
He said, “Logic’s my anchor, it keeps me safe,
within these walls where I belong.”
I saw a flicker in his eyes"
a spark that questioned if he was right or wrong.

“Logic can guide, but don’t you feel,
there’s more than what the mind can see?”
He sighed, “Dreams are fragile, and risks are high"
how can I trust in uncertainty?”

I answered, “Reason’s steady, but so are chains,
and sometimes freedom’s found alone.
We step with faith where light is dim,
and in those steps, we can find our own.”

“But what of my fears?” he asked, unsure,
“How can I walk when I’m afraid?”
I said, “Sometimes it’s courage that clears the way,
when we trust the path that God has laid.”

He paused, then whispered, “Faith feels wild"
how can I trust what I can’t define?”
I told him, “Not every truth is built on sight;
some truths are felt, like stars at night.”

“So I step in faith?” he asked again,
“Though shadows fall and doubts remain?”
I nodded, “Lean on the Holy Spirit’s hand;
He’ll lead you out beyond the plain.”

So... there he stood, on the edge of choice,
His thoughts began to intertwine.
He sensed that logic had its place,
but God, the planner, had drawn the line.

He pondered how each moment fit,
like pieces in a grand design,
and realized life’s greatest truths
were not confined.. by what’s defined.

“Perhaps,...” he said, “the heart can know...
what logic struggles to explain?
that every twist and turn I take
is part of Gods love that’s never in vain.”
So with newfound clarity, he took a breath,
“I see now how the threads are spun"
in faith, I’m guided, step by step,
for I am part of His grand run!”

And as he crossed beyond those careful lines,...
the walls he clung to faded,... dim.
With Spirit’s light and freedom’s call,
he embraced the truest parts of him!

In his God's trust, he found his heart set free,
no longer bound by doubt or fear.
For God, the ultimate planner, smiled,
And whispered hope in all his tears.

it's a lovely poem. while it is on the surface a conversation between logic and emotion/faith, i see a deeper meaning. i think this is a meeting of masculine and feminine. and in the end, the feminine wins, as it should. masculinity has important roles -- logic, problem-solving, protection, etc. but it needs the guidance of the feminine to be useful. and i hope that more people understand this, the world today is too masculine -- so masculine that it's become 'toxic' -- and that both men and women need to get in touch with their feminine qualities in order to restore harmony and balance.
