Fantasea

Somewhere between a poem and a song. Not sure what I want it to be yet... hmmnm

Let me take this one deep breath

As I close my eyes and dive

The water so cold it's paralyzing

Though I've never felt more alive

I'm starting to slip under now

But I still can think and feel

And as I open my eyes I see

What I thought was never real

I know the world is calling

But first I'd like to explore

Before I return to reality

And walk upon the shore

I am swimming with the mermaids

In this world below the sea

I've left my cares upon the land

Here I'm only free

No one needs to save me

And nothing can go wrong

I lay rest assured on the ocean bed

In a world where I belong

My breathing is so peaceful

My body is at ease

I am fascinated by this 

Ancient world within the seas

These ships with all their stories

And the history inside

I seem to be learning endlessly 

With everything I find

I know the world is calling

But I like it down here more

Discovering and learning things

I never knew before

I am swimming with the mermaids

In this world below the sea

I've left my cares upon the land

Here I'm only free

No one needs to save me

And nothing can go wrong

I lay rest assured on the ocean bed

In a world where I belong

Then the mermaids circled around me

And said I could no longer stay

They've been my distraction long enough

Now it's time to face the day

I told them I didn't want to leave

Because mermaids are hard to find

But they said I could always find them

In my heart and in my mind

So the mermaids live within me

In this world above the sea

I have to live my life up here

But I can still be free

No one needs to save me

Though things will go wrong

I will sleep tonight in my own bed

In this world where I belong
