How We Saved YouA Poem by MHWe all cling to parts of you- Your hair, your eyes, your laugh Use them as cuttings Stem and root, Frantically plant them. If you were an ember We would feed you the very air we breath Instead- We submerge you in our strongest muscle, use our flesh as soil. The pieces of you we desperately plant we hope will grow in my heart, in all of ours, Grow.
