The Folly of Age

The Folly of Age

A Poem by Quill
"

What changes does teenage not bring in us!

"
My dolls had been my friends,
In the winter mornings,
In the summer dawns,
And in the rainy hours,
But my unmindful age pretends,
Don't go near them! You're a big girl now
You have grown, grown to be twelve
Dolls don't suit you anymore,Mohor!

Games,tic-tac-toe, X and knot
For them,I wasn't rarely sought
But not knowing am I,
What lesson so high,
my pestering age taught
That I despise playing them,
I feel so timid
I feel so ashamed,
What worry this age brought!

Why age,
Why did you kill my spree?
why did you do this to me?
