Rockets Rain

Rockets Rain

A Poem by Muhamad Farhany

I once opened my car door
When it was heavily raining
I took my baby daughter
Rolled in a blanket
Afraid that some drop of water
Might fall on her soft skin
And suddenly comes to my mind
The image of a father
With his innocent baby in arms
In the battle field
Afraid that at any moment
A drop of rocket may heavily fall
And take his little baby's soul
Wars are bad
And worse are the people
who in their castles stay
And give orders
To demolish the cities
Of innocent kids.

*I had these feelings months ago when it rained here and rockets were raining elsewhere. True story.
