Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet

A Poem by Mogan Horse

The ramblings of a fed up Literature student

"

"Romeo, sweet Romeo", Juliet cooed in the light of the moon

Oh geez, are you serious? Gag me with a spoon!

You are 13 and he is 17, that's a problem from the start,

And here's a spoiler, Sweety, you'll end up stabbing yourself in the heart!

You're causing death and havoc over a boy you have known for a day

(That seems a little immature and stupid, I must say!)

Bless your little romantic heart, you haven't got a clue,

If you want to live a long and healthy life though, you should drop him like last year's shoes!

"Romeo, sweet Romeo", she cooed in the light of the moon,

Juliet, you silly little girl, you are as crazy as a loon!
